The responsibilities of this center include research on scientific and technological innovation and industrial development of polices in this city, project management, transformation of achievements, investment promotion and enterprise services, talent training, as well as the management services of human genetic resources, management of laboratory animals and other functions. It has two subsidiaries which are Shanghai Biopharma Service Co., Ltd. (Shanghai Technological Service Platform of Biomedicine Industry for CRO and CDMO and Incubator) and Shanghai Kunpeng Investment Development Co., Ltd.
